Princeton, NJ – Clemson is ranked second in this week’s MasterCard College Golf Rankings. The Tigers have been ranked in the top three three in the nation in every poll this year. The Tigers trail only Georgia, who won the Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational this past weekend in a head to head meeting with the Tigers. Georgia Tech is ranked third, while TCU is fourth and Florida is fifth.
Clemson has three of the top 16 players in the nation according to the individual rankings. Lucas Glover is ranked second in the nation behind Bryce Molder of Georgia Tech. John Engler, also a senior at Clemson, is ranked fifth, while D.J. Trahan has improved to 16th. Trahan finished third in the Schenkel and jumped from 35th to 16th in the rankings.
Trahan will not play in Clemson’s next event, the United States Collegiate in Mexico. He will be playing in the Masters in Augusta, GA as the result of his United States Public Links championship last July.
