Clemson Track/XC Signee Impressive

Head coach Mark Elliott was excited about his most recent signing class, and why not? It’s loaded with potential when you consider athletes like sprinter Nate Huggins and thrower Grayce French. But it also contains one of, in Elliott’s opinion, the top distance athletes to come from the state of South Carolina in recent memory, Logan Morris.

The product of a local private school, Spartanburg Christian Academy, recently competed at the Foot Locker South Regional in cross country, and fared quite well. She earned a spot at the presitigious Foot Locker Nationals after a ninth-place finish. And Morris wasn’t done yet. She finished ninth again, this time earning high school All-America honors on December 12 in San Diego.

Morris talked about her college choice following the national meet.

“I’m so excited to continue this journey into college,” Morris said. “I love hearing the name Clemson across all sports; there’s a lot of positive publicity out there right now for the Tigers. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
