CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team take on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Sunday afternoon at the Eblen Center in Cookeville, TN. The game is slated for a 2:30 pm Eastern Time tipoff. Fans can follow the action on the Internet with the Ohio Valley Conference’s video streaming package by accessing the league’s homepage at www.ovcsports.com. The game will also be broadcast in the upstate on WCCP (104.9 FM) with Dan Scott calling the play-by-play and Kanetra Queen providing the color commentary.

Junior D’Lesha Lloyd leads the Lady Tigers with a 12.6 scoring average and ranks second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. Freshman Lele Hardy boasts a team-best 7.8 rebouding average while also recording 10.7 points per game. The Spartanburg, SC native also leads the ACC and ranks sixth in the nation with a 3.90 steals per game average.

Tasha Taylor is also averaging in double figures for Clemson with a 12.5 figure on 50-104 shooting.

Scouting the Golden Eagles Tennessee Tech enters Sunday’s contest against Clemson with a 2-6 overall record. However, both Golden Eagle wins were on their home court.

Kendall Cavin owns a team-best 12.6 scoring average while Mariss Hensley and Cara Reed are also averaging in double figures for the Golden Eagles with 11.5 and 10.8 figures. Hensley leads the squad with a 4.1 rebounds per game average with Cavin close behind with a 4.0 average.

Overall, Tennessee Tech is averaging 62.2 points per game this season with a .395 field goal shooting percentage. Cavin and Hensley have each made 10 three-point field goals, as the Golden Eagles have drained 49-134 for a .366 figure.

Clemson vs. Tennessee Tech, The Series Sunday’s meeting between the Lady Tigers and Golden Eagles will be the ninth meeting in history between the two schools. Each team has won four games in the series, but Tennessee Tech won last year’s match-up by a 71-62 margin. The teams are also tied with two wins apiece in games played in Cookeville, TN with Clemson claiming the most recent contest, 61-46, during the 1997-98 season.
