CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to sixth-ranked Duke in a women’s Atlantic Coast Conference soccer match at Clemson, SC Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. on Historic Riggs Field.
Clemson is 7-6-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the ACC. Clemson is coming off a 3-2 upset win over 12th-ranked Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC last Sunday afternoon.
Duke is now 11-2-1 overall and 5-2 in ACC play. The Blue Devils are ranked sixth in the NSCAA, eighth in the Soccer America poll and eight in the Soccer Buzz listing.
Clemson is led in scoring by Allison Graham with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. Lydia Vandenbergh has two goals and three assists for seven points. In goal, Ashley Phillips has a 1.07 GAA and has 76 saves on the year.
Duke is led by Rebecca Moros with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Christie McDonald has four goals and one assist for nine points.
This will be the 15th meeting between Clemson and Duke on the soccer field. Clemson leads the overall series 8-6, with Clemson winning the last six contests in the series. In matches played at Clemson, the Tigers lead 4-2.
