Clemson to open 2005 Women’s Soccer Season

CLEMSON, SC—The Clemson women’s soccer team will open its 2005 season Friday, August 26, as the Lady Tigers play host to Tennessee-Chattanooga at 7:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson returns five starters and 15 letterwinners from the 2004 squad that finished with a 10-8-2 record overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Tigers finished the season ranked 25th nationally according to the Soccer America poll.

Tennessee-Chattanooga finished the 2004 season with a 12-5-1 record overall. The Lady Mocs return eight starters to this year’s team.

Head Coach Todd Bramble will begin his fifth season at Clemson. During his previous four years, he has compiled a 50-28-5 record.

The Clemson women’s soccer program began in 1994 and the Lady Tigers have been to the NCAA Tournament every season for a total of 11 times.

Junior Courtney Foster was the Lady Tigers leading goal scorer in 2004 with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. Senior Allison Graham had three goals and five assists for 11 points.
