Clemson to Hold Second Exhibition Match

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s soccer team will play its second home exhibition match at Historic Riggs Field. The match is set to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 16 against High Point University at 7 p.m. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to come out and support the Tigers. 

The Tigers hosted UAB in their first exhibition match of the 2016 season this past Saturday, a 2-1 Clemson win. 

The High Point Panthers finished the 2015 season with an 8-6-7 overall record and a 3-3-3 record in the Big South Conference. High Point advanced to the conference tournament finals, defeating Coastal Carolina and Radford, before falling to the top-seeded Winthrop Eagles. High Point will be playing its first of two exhibition matches of the fall on Tuesday.

Clemson’s final exhibition contest of the season comes this Friday when Clemson travels to Duke. The Tigers open the regular season next Friday night, Aug. 26 against South Carolina in Columbia.
