CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s soccer team will play Wake Forest in the first round of the 2001 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Championship in Winston-Salem, NC beginning Thursday night, November 8.
The Lady Tigers are seeded fourth and will play the fifth-seeded Demon Deacons at 8:00 p.m. at Wake Forest’s W. Dennie Spry Soccer Stadium. Clemson will enter the game with a 13-4 record overall. The Lady Tigers defeated Wake Forest 1-0 earlier this season on October 16. Wake Forest is 9-7-1 this season.
Clemson is led in scoring by sophomore Lindsay Browne with nine goals and seven assists for 25 points. Freshman Paige Ledford has nine goals and five assists for 23 points.
Wake Forest is led in scoring by Emily Taggart with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. Stacy Roeck has seven goals and two assists for 16 points.
Sunday’s ACC Championship game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet, Fox Sports Net South, and Sunshine.
