CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s soccer team will play Virginia on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in Charlottesville, VA.
Clemson is 8-0-1 on the year. Last week, Clemson defeated Longwood on September 19, and tied N.C. State on Sunday, September 24.
Clemson is led in scoring by Dane Richards with seven goals and six assists for 20 points. Frederico Moojen has seven goals and one assist for 15 points.
Clemson is ranked second in four polls, Soccer America, NSCAA, College Soccer Weekly, and Soccer Times. Virginia is ranked fifth in the latest polls.
This will be the 47th meeting between Clemson and Virginia on the soccer field. The Cavaliers lead the overall series 22-19-5. In the last seven meetings, the series is tied 3-3-1. Last year the two teams split. Virginia won the regular season meeting 1-0 and the Tigers won at the ACC Tournament over the Cavaliers 4-1.
