Clemson to face USC Upstate Wednesday

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to USC Upstate on Wednesday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m.

The Tigers have a 2-2 record overall this season. This contest will begin a six-match home stand for the Tigers.

This will be the ninth meeting between Clemson and USC Upstate. The Tigers lead the overall series 7-0-1. The last time these two teams met was in 1989. USC Upstate is coached by Greg Hooks. Hooks was an assistant coach at Clemson in 1988-90.

Clemson Head Coach Trevor Adair has a 162-73-23 record at Clemson, as he is in his 13th season. For his career, he has a 196-97-28 record, and he is in his 17th season as a head coach in 2007. His .650 career winning percentage is in the top 25 among active coaches. He was the head coach at Brown in the four seasons prior to his tenure at Clemson.

Clemson is led in scoring by David Bell. Bell has one goal and one assist for three points.
