Clemson to Face USC Upstate Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Men’s Soccer Team will play host to USC Upstate Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.  Clemson, who was ranked as high as fourth last week has a 6-1 record overall. 

The Tigers are coming off a 3-1 loss to Maryland on Saturday night.  The Tigers had allowed just one goal in six previous matches prior to the loss against the Terrapins. The Tigers are led in scoring by Thomas McNamara with five goals and three assists for 13 points.  Manolo Sanchez and Ara Amirkhanian both have three goals and one assist for seven points each. The Spartans are 0-4-1 on the year.  Dave Musambi has four goals and one assist for nine points to lead USC Upstate. Upstate and Clemson will meet for the 12th time in the all-time series, that dates back to the 1981 season. The Tigers lead the series 10-0-1.

Tuesday is Fan Appreciation Night and the first 200 fans will receive a free Clemson Soccer scarf.  Also one fan will have a chance to kick for a $5000 prize.
