Clemson To Face California In NCAA Women’s Tennis Round Of 16

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s tennis team (22-4) will face the California Golden Bears in the 2007 NCAA Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, GA. The Sweet 16 match-up is scheduled for 6:00 pm on Friday, May 18. The Tigers, who earned the #7 overall seed in the tournament, advanced to the round of 16 with wins over Coastal Carolina and Virginia in the first and second rounds, respectively.

The Golden Bears are the 10th overall seed in the national tournament and boast a 21-6 overall record for the 2007 season. They defeated Southeastern Louisiana, 4-1, in the opening round and then posted a 4-2 victory over Arizona State in regional competition.
