Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball heads to Chapel Hill for a clash with No. 25/21 North Carolina on Thursday, Feb. 5. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m., and the game will air live on ACCN.
SETTING THE STAGEThe Tigers have won three straight contests and are looking for their fourth straight victory. The Tar Heels are winners of five straight games and look to extend their streak to six on Thursday night.
THE CLEMSON-NORTH CAROLINA SERIESClemson trails 63-28 in the all-time series with North Carolina. The pairings between the Tigers and the Tar Heels span back to the 1976-77 season. In the last clash, Clemson fell to North Carolina, 53-51 (Feb. 9, 2025).

For the 14th time this season, Clemson has held its opponent to under 60 points. Clemson (10 3-pointers) knocked down 10-plus three-pointers for the 10th time this season. Kohn (15 points, four 3-pointers) hit double figures in points for the fifth time this season and collected three-plus triples for the sixth time this season. Periman recorded season-highs in both rebounds (15) and assists (5), along with three blocks.
BEST OF THE TIGERSIn the latest Nitty Gritties Report, Clemson is ranked 37th in the NET, 48th in the NET SOS, and 44th in the WAB. Clemson is ranked 38th nationally (1st in the ACC) in scoring defense, allowing 57.6 points per game, and 25th nationally (1st in the ACC) in 3-pointers per game (8.7 3FG Per Game). The Tigers are led by the scoring trio of junior guard/forward Rusne Augustinaite (11.7 ppg.), senior guard Mia Moore (11.6 ppg.), and senior guard Rachael Rose (10.3 ppg.). Augustinaite is also averaging 2.7 3PM Per Game (2nd in the ACC) and her 61 3PM Ranks 25th Nationally. Moore holds a team-best 5.0 assists average (37th nationally & 5th in the ACC) and a 1.3 steals average. Graduate Forward Demeara Hinds (6.4 rpg.) leads the Tigers on the glass. CLEMSON’S BARBARA KENNEDY-DIXON NAMED TO 2026 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME CLASSBarbara Kennedy-Dixon has been named to The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (WBHOF) Class of 2026 as a posthumous veteran honoree. To this day, Kennedy-Dixon leads Clemson & The ACC in Career Points (3,113) and scoring average (24.5). She is one of just eight players with at least 3,000 points and 1,000 rebounds since the NCAA started sponsoring women’s sports in 1981-82 (Barbara’s senior year). The Tennessee Theatre will host the induction ceremony on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
TIGERS INK MONSTER SIGNING CLASS: HIGHEST EVER IN PROGRAM HISTORY!The incoming 2026 class is the highest-ranked signing class in program history and ranks fourth nationally (per 247 Sports) and sixth nationally (per ESPN). Coach Poppie, who is in his second year at the helm, has signed six Top-100 recruits in two years. Prior to the Poppie Era at Clemson, the program has only had six Top-100 recruits in the previous 12 years.
The Class includes: Trinity Jones, Kimora Fields, Julia Scott, Meeyah Green, and Dyarri Braddick.
