Clemson, S.C. — After kicking off the 2019 season on Thursday, the Tigers (1-0-0) return to action on August 25, 2019 at 6 p.m. against Coastal Carolina(0-1-0). Sunday’s game will mark Clemson’s last home match before hitting the road for a two-game stretch against Nebraska and Creighton.
On Thursday the Tigers saw contributions from both ends of the spectrum as freshman Hal Hershfelt knocked in her first collegiate goal while senior Dani Antieau added to the lead. Heading into Sunday’s competition, Clemson holds a 2-1 series lead over Coastal Carolina with all three matches being held in Tigertown.
Similar to Clemson, Coastal Carolina debuted seven freshmen in their recent 2-0 loss to North Florida. Their matchup will be their first time meeting in nearly a decade which resulted in the Chants lone win over the Tigers off a breakaway goal with seven seconds left in the match.
