Clemson Rowing to Host Head of Lake Hartwell

Sept. 20, 2002

The Tiger rowing team will play host to Clemson’s Club Crew team this Sunday in the Head of Lake Hartwell. This will be the first of five regattas the Tigers will compete in during the non-traditional fall season.

“Clemson Rowing is excited to begin our fall racing season. This early season competition will be a motivator to prepare us for the rest of the fall season. We are excited to announce the addition of our novice student-athletes who have earned the opportunity to row at Clemson,” said Head Coach Susie Lueck.

Three Tiger eights will compete in a head race starting at 9:00AM. Boats will be released in 10 second intervals beginning with the crew team’s men’s boats. Clemson Club Crew’s women’s eights will be mixed in the three Tiger Rowing eights.

New members of Tiger Rowing’s novice team will be announced at Sunday’s regatta.

The Tigers will compete next in the fifth annual Clemson Class Day on Saturday, October 12.
