Clemson Rower Brittany Cummings Earns All-America Honors

CLEMSON, SC – The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its Pocock All-America award winners on Monday. Senior Brittany Cummings garnered her second honor as she was named first-team All-America for the 2009-10 season and was second-team for the 2008-09 season.

Cummings was a member of the Varsity 8+ crew all season. They finished 15th in the nation after competing in the NCAA Championships for the third straight year and only the third time in school history. The crew was also named ACC Crew of the Week after their performance against Alabama, Indiana, Purdue and Marist during the spring season.

This is the third honor for Cummings as she was also named to the All-ACC team after the ACC Championships and received her second All-South Region honor as she was named to the first-team. She becomes just the fourth rower in Clemson history to be a two-time All-America selection.
