Clemson Ranked Sixth by Coaches Association

Clemson, S.C.—Clemson moved from 13th in the preseason poll to sixth in the September 30th poll released Friday by The Golfweek Coaches Poll sponsored by Bushnell.      Clemson is ninth in the latest Sagarin computer poll

The Tigers are the highest ranked team from the ACC in both polls.  Illinois is the No. 1 team in the nation by the coaches and Texas is No. 1 according to the Sagarin Computer Poll.

Clemson has made the jump after a strong month of September.  The Tigers finished third out of 14 teams at the Carpet Classic to open the season, then won The Jackrabbit at Valentine Nebraska.  

Larry Penley’s team opens play at the Nike Collegiate at Colonial Country Club this Sunday.
