Clemson Ranked 10th in Latest Golf World Poll

Clemson, SC-Clemson is ranked 10th in the latest Golf World/Golf Coaches Association Poll released on Thursday. The Tigers have been ranked in the top 10 of each poll released so far this year.

Clemson is the highest ranked team from the ACC with its number-10 ranking. Georgia Tech is 15th, North Carolina is 17th, Duke is 21st and Wake Forest is 22nd. Georgia is ranked first, while Stanford is second and Alabama is third. Florida is fourth, followed by Southern Cal and defending NCAA champion Oklahoma State.

Clemson will next be in action Monday through Wednesday, (April 9-11) of next week at the Atlanta Classic at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, GA.

Clemson is also ranked 11th in the Sagarin computer rankings. Two Tigers, Kyle Stanley and Ben Martin are ranked in the top 50 among individual players. Stanley, a freshman from Gig Harbor, WA is ranked 10th with a 69.79 rating, while Martin, a freshman from Greenwood, SC, is 49th with a 70.77 rating.
