Clemson Men Ranked 24th, Women 19th in Latest National Soccer Polls

Clemson, SC — The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked 24th in the latest Soccer America top 25 poll. The Clemson women’s soccer team hsa been ranked No. 19 by both Soccer America and the National Soccer Coaches Association of Amerca (NSCAA).

The Clemson women hosted the Clemson/Nike Invitational this past weekend, falling to seventh-ranked Texas on Friday night before shutting out Alabama-Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. the men’s soccer team traveled to Greenville to participate in the Diadora/Spinx Furman Invitational. The Tigers lost to fourth-ranked Saint Louis on Friday night and defeated No. 24 South Florida on Sunday afternoon.

For their performance this weekend, Andre Borges, Justin Moore, and Bradley Gibson were each named to the Diadora/Spinx Furman Invitational All-Tournament Team. Sarah Turner and Jenny Anderson were each named to the Clemson/Nike Inviational All-Tournament Team, and Courtney Foster was named the tournament’s Offensive MVP.
