Clemson Lady Tigers to Open 2004 Season

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s soccer team will open the 2004 season at Texas in Austin, TX at Myers Stadium on Friday, August 27, at 7:30 p.m., Central time.

Clemson is ranked 12th by the Soccer America poll. Clemson is coming off a 11-7-2 record overall last season. The Lady Tigers advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 10th consecutive season last year. The Lady Tigers have nine starters, and 18 letterwinners returning from the 2003 squad. Head Coach Todd Bramble is entering his fourth season at Clemson.

Texas is ranked fourth by Soccer America and 13th by the NSCAA. Texas finished the 2003 season with a 12-9 record overall. The Lady Tigers play at Texas A&M on Sunday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m. Central time. The Aggies are ranked fifth by the NSCAA and 11th by Soccer America.

Last season, Clemson was led in scoring by Courtney Foster with 13 goals and five assists for 31 points. Allison Graham had five goals and 11 assists for 21 points.
