Clemson Lady Tiger Soccer Team to Open 2006 Season Friday Night

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to Alabama-Birmingham Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson finished the 2005 season with a 9-9-2 record overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th consecutive year.

The Tigers have 14 letterwinners and seven starters returning. Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble will be entering his sixth season as head coach of the Lady Tigers.

Alabama-Birmingham had an 8-10-1 record last season. The Blazers return five starters and 12 letterwinners back this season.

This will be the first meeting ever between Clemson and Alabama-Birmingham on the soccer field.
