The Clemson golf programs host two spring invitational tournaments this season at two of the finest courses in South Carolina. It is the third consecutive year both programs serve as hosts to their own invitationals.

Teams from around the nation will compete in three-day, 54-hole events. Additionally, there will be a College Am on Thursday, April 12 at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls, where fans of Clemson and those of the visiting schools can take part.

Kelley Hester’s women’s team, fresh off its first trip to the NCAA National Tournament and a top-20 finish for the first time, host the Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee from March 23-25.

The 15-team field for the event includes Clemson, Florida State, Furman, Harvard, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulane, UNC Wilmington, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin. Five of the teams are currently in the top 25 of the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, and 11 of the 15 are currently in the top 50.

The men’s tournament begins three weeks later, running from April 13-15. It is the final tournament before Larry Penley’s Tigers start postseason play at the ACC Tournament. The men’s tournament is held at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls. This year’s men’s event does not run the same weekend as The Masters.

This year’s 11-team field for the men includes Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Elon, Furman, George Mason, Navy, Notre Dame, Southern Methodist, UNC Wilmington and Winthrop. Clemson has won its own tournament each of the first two years.

The Clemson Invitational College Am is held  April 12 at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls the day before the beginning of the men’s invitational. Golfers are paired with their choice of current Clemson team members or with a member of a golf team from one of the visiting institutions.

The cost of a group of four golfers to participate in the College Am is $2,500, and for a single golfer it is $650.

Participants receive a gift package, breakfast with each golfer at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls, lunch at multiple chef-attended, on-course food stations and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages (there is a cash bar available).
