Clemson Improves to 13th in Latest Golf World Coaches Poll

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson improved from 17th to 13th in the latest Golf World Coaches Poll released today. The Tigers have played two events against national competition so far this year. Clemson finished third out of 12 teams at the Carpet Classic and 13th out of 15 teams at the Ping Preview in Stillwater, OK last week. All 15 teams at the Ping Preview were top 25 teams.

Oklahoma State is the top team in the nation after it won the Ping Preview on its home course earlier this week. Georgia Tech is ranked seventh and is the only ACC team ranked ahead of the Tigers.

Clemson’s next event is The Brickyard in Macon, GA October 8-10. Clemson finished second in that 15-team field last year.
