Clemson Notes: 

  • The Clemson women’s tennis team hosts two more ranked opponents this weekend, No. 4 Duke on Friday, April 5 at 12 p.m. and No. 34 Georgia Tech on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m.
  • The matches against the Blue Devils and Yellow Jackets this weekend will be the Tigers’ fourth in a row against ranked opponents, while eight of their last 10 matches have come against ranked opponents.
  • After Sunday’s match vs. Georgia Tech, Clemson will have faced a total of 11 opponents ranked in the ITA polls, including eight in the top-25 and three in the top-five nationally.
  • Seniors Marie-Alexandre Leduc and Fernanda Navarro are ranked No. 4 in the nation in doubles, according to the ITA poll released on April 2. The duo has a 12-4 dual match record in 2019 (5-3 in ACC dual matches) and a 24-7 overall record for the 2018-19 season.
  • Leduc is currently ranked 79th nationally in singles. The senior from Saguenay, Quebec is 9-7 in dual matches, and has faced 10 ranked singles opponents, playing all but one of her matches at No. 1 singles.
  • Navarro is ranked 121st in the nation in singles. The senior and native of Guadalajara, Mexico is 8-7 in dual matches (11-8 overall), and has faced seven ranked players, playing primarily at No. 2 singles.
  • Leduc leads the Tigers in dual singles wins with eight, while sophomore Laura Marti leads the team in ACC dual singles wins, with five.
