Clemson Notes:

  • Clemson (11-2-5) advanced to the ACC semifinals by way of a penalty shootout against Syracuse on Sunday afternoon. It was the third straight match between the two sides that was decided in overtime.
  • Junior Diego Campos found the back of the net for the sixth time this season and also buried the clinching penalty kick on Sunday.
  • Redshirt sophomore Brady Allardice was subbed in net for the penalty shootout and made two spectacular saves to help lead the Tigers to the semifinals.
  • The Tigers enter the ACC semifinals on a six-match unbeaten streak. This is also the fifth straight ACC semifinal appearance for the Tigers.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Ximo Miralles currently sits in the top 10 for single season records at Clemson for his goal against average (0.58), solo shutouts (9), and most ACC shutouts (5). He also has the most shutouts by a sophomore goalkeeper at Clemson.
  • Clemson looks to advance to the ACC Championship for the second time in three years.
  • The Tigers are ranked No. 1 in the country in RPI for the fourth straight week.
  • As of Nov. 1, Clemson is ranked No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Poll, No. 3 by Top Drawer Soccer, and No. 9 by Soccer America.

Boston College Notes:

  • The Eagles tied Virginia Tech in the opening round, 2-2, but advanced by winning the penalty kick shootout, 4-3. On Sunday Boston College stunned the No. 1 seed North Carolina 1-0 to advance to the semifinals.
  • The Eagles are led by Zeiko Lewis who has scored six goals and tallied seven assists.
  • Lewis broke the Boston College career assist record in the regular-season finale against NC State, with two assists he brought his career total to 27 and also ranks 10th all-time at Boston College with 55 points.
  • The Eagles are ranked No. 14 in the RPI and No. 17 by Top Drawer Soccer.

  • Clemson’s overall record against Boston College is 8-3-4.
  • The Tigers and Eagles played to a scoreless double overtime draw at Boston College earlier this season.
