Clemson Golf Team Ranked Third In Latest Poll

Princeton, NJ – Larry Penley’s Clemson golf team is ranked third in the nation in the latest MasterCard golf poll. The Tigers have ranked in the top three in the nation in every poll so far this season. Clemson trails only nearby rivals Georgia and Georgia Tech. Augusta State has risen to fourth in the nation, that school’s highest ranking ever. Florida is fifth, followed by sixth ranked NC State. The ACC is the only conference with three teams ranked in the top six in the nation.

Individually, Lucas Glover is Clemson’s top ranked golfer with a number-two rating. He trails only Georgia Tech’s Bryce Molder. Clemson’s John Engler is fourth, just behind Georgia’s Erik Compton. D.J. Trahan, who will play in the Masters this weekend, is 18th nationally.
