Clemson Notes: 

  • The Clemson women’s tennis team has two ACC matches on the road this weekend, at Notre Dame on Friday, Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m. and at Louisville on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 12 p.m.
  • The Tigers split their first two ACC contests of the season, defeating Virginia Tech 5-2 in Clemson on Feb. 8, before falling to Wake Forest 7-0 in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Feb. 17.
  • Marie-Alexandre Leduc and Fernanda Navarro are ranked No. 1 in the nation in doubles, according to the ITA poll released on Feb. 20. Leduc and Navarro are only the third team in Clemson women’s tennis history to ascend to No. 1 in the national doubles rankings.
  • The senior duo has a 7-1 dual match record in 2019 and a 19-4 overall record for the 2018-19 season.
  • Navarro is ranked 82nd nationally in the ITA singles poll, and has a 5-2 record in dual singles matches on the season.
  • On Jan. 31, Navarro earned her career-best singles upset, defeating 25th-ranked Paige Cline of South Carolina in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 2 singles.
