Clemson Faces Bowling Green & Towson Tuesday in San Diego

Clemson Notes: 

  • The Clemson women’s tennis team plays two neutral-site matches in San Diego, Calif. as part of its spring break training trip on Tuesday, March 19. The Tigers meet Bowling Green at 10 a.m. PT and Towson at 2 p.m. PT at the Barnes Tennis Center.
  • Most recently, the Tigers dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 11 NC State on the road in Raleigh, N.C. on March 8. Senior Ally Miller-Krasilnikov picked up the lone Clemson victory against the Wolfpack, winning in three sets at No. 4 singles.
  • Seniors Marie-Alexandre Leduc and Fernanda Navarro are ranked No. 4 in the nation in doubles, according to the ITA poll released on March 5. The duo has a 10-3 dual match record in 2019 (5-2 in ACC dual matches) and a 22-6 overall record for the 2018-19 season.
  • Navarro is currently ranked 105th nationally in the ITA singles poll. The Guadalajara, Mexico native leads the Clemson team in dual singles wins in 2019, with 7, and has a 7-5 record.
  • Sophomore Laura Marti leads the Tigers in dual singles wins in ACC play, as the native of Madrid, Spain has a 4-2 record in conference play thus far.
