Clemson Doubles Team Falls At Wilson/ITA Southeast Regionals

CHAPEL HILL, NC – The Clemson women’s tennis doubles team of Ani Mijacika and Federica van Adrichem ended its run at the 2007 Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional Championships on Monday morning. The Tiger duo fell in the semifinals to Amanda Granson and Melissa Mang of Duke, 8-4, at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.

After recording three wins in the tournament, Mijacika and Van Adrichem now own a 7-3 record for the fall season.

Mijacika earned an invitation in singles play to the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships. She will begin play in the prestigious tournament on Thursday, Nov. 1 at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Clemson team will travel to Palm Springs, CA to participate in the Doral Tournament over the Nov. 2-4 weekend.
