CARY, NC–Meghan Smith scored with 3:58 left in regulation in leading Clemson to a 2-1 over Boston College in the quarterfinal round of the 19th Annual ACC Women’s Soccer Tournament at the SAS Soccer Complex in Cary, NC.

Clemson the fifth seed in the tournament improves to 11-6-2 overall, while Boston College the fourth seed in the tournament falls to 11-6-2 this season.

The Lady Tigers will play number one seed North Carolina at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, in Cary, NC.

Clemson took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute Julie Bolt scored her fourth goal of the season with an assist by Fraser Gerth. Gerth has three assists this year.

Boston College tied the match as Brianna Wilson-Byrne scored on an assist by Gina DiMartino. It was Brianna Willson-Byrnes’ fourth goal of the year.

Smith scored the game-winner at the 86:02 mark into the match. She was assisted on the play by Molly Franklin. Franklin has four assists this season.
