Clemson Completes Spring Exhibition Season

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s soccer team completed its spring exhibition season this past weekend with two victories in the Manchester Cup at Rock Hill, SC.Clemson defeated East Tennessee State 2-1 and Davidson 1-0.  Manolo Sanchez scored in each match including a 25-yard volley to defeat Davidson.  Ara Amirkhanian scored the other goal in the East Tennessee State match.  Andrew Tarbell was in goal for the Tigers in the match against the Bucs.  Chris Glodack was in goal for Clemson in the match with Davidson.The Tigers finished the spring with a 4-0-1 record in their last five matches, outscoring their opponents 12-1 while recording four shutouts.  Overall, the Tigers had a 5-2-1 mark in all of the spring exhibition matches.”Our players were terrific this spring,” said Clemson Head Coach Mike Noonan.  “They were very focused and worked extremely hard.  The purpose of our spring training is to improve each day.”Our results are a by-product of their hard work and dedication this spring,” said Noonan.
