CLEMSON ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S SOCCER SIGNEES Seven players join the Lady Tigers.
CLEMSON, SC–Seven players have signed national letters-of-intent to play women’s soccer at Clemson as announced Wednesday by Head Coach Todd Bramble.
The list of signees include: Anne Baldwin, Julie Bolt, Fraser Gerth, Sara Gulley, Molly Johnson, Lia Schendel, and Jenny Smith.
Baldwin, a native of Covington, LA, is a member of the ODP Region III team. Named all district, and all-state in 2003 and 2004. Played for the Lafreniere Sting Club team and they won the state five times and was sub regional champions in 2004.
Bolt attends West Ashley High School, in Charleston, SC. Played for the U-18 premier league team for Charleston United. Her club team has won the state cup three times. She has played on the SC ODP team for three years and was named to the region III pool in 2002. Bolt helped her high school team win two state championships. She was named all state and to the Super 18 team in high school for the past two years. Bolt has been named all-region and the 4-A Player of the Year. Bolt was named an NSCAA All-American in 2004 and the NSCAA State player of the year for South Carolina.
Gerth attends Roswell High School in Roswell, GA. She led her high school team in goals and assists. She plays for the GSA 87 Red Club team.
Gulley, a native of Burke, VA, was named a NSCAA All-American in 2004. She was also named to the NSCAA All-Region team three times. She has also been named All-State and All Region.
She is also a member of the ODP Region I teams for five years. She plays for the Bethesda Excel Club team.
Molly Johnson, a native of Stuart, FL is a member of the Region III ODP team. She is also am member of the Florida State ODP team. Named All-Area and is also an honor student.
Schendel is a member of the SC ODP team. The native of Florence, SC was named all-state and is an honor roll student.
Smith is an all-region selectee from Macon, GA. She has also been named All-State. She played in the Premier League for Lightning Soccer Club in Atlanta. Smith helped lead her high school team to three state championships. She scored 84 goals in three years at her high school. Smith was the top scorer in the state with 42 goals. She set a school record with 14 points in one half in a match.
