Clemson and Virginia Tech play to a 0-0 overtime tie

BLACKSBURG, VA–Clemson and Virginia Tech played to a 0-0 overtime tie in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s soccer match at Blacksburg, VA Thursday night.

With the draw, Clemson is not 6-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the ACC. The Hokies are now 5-5-2 overall and 1-3-1 in league play.

Clemson had seven shots in the match, and Virginia Tech finished with eight shots. Both teams had three corner kicks each.

The Lady Tigers’ Ashley Phillips had four saves, and Mollory Soldner of Virginia Tech had three saves.

The Lady Tigers’ Nuria Zufia had two shots in the second overtime period including one shot that hit the post with 3:09 left on the clock.

Clemson will play host to Virginia on Sunday, October 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lady Tigers’ next action at Historic Riggs Field.
