Clemson Adds Tatum Clowney to Women’s Soccer Coaching Staff

April 20, 2006

CLEMSON, SC–Former Lady Tiger, Tatum Clowney has been named an assistant coach on the Clemson Women’s Soccer Staff as announced by Head Coach Todd Bramble Thursday afternoon.

Clowney will be filling the vacancy created when Abby Crumpton accepted the Head Coaching position at Anderson University.

Clowney played at Clemson in the 1998-2001 seasons. During that time, she scored 10 goals and had 18 assists for her career. During her career, Clemson went to four NCAA Tournaments, including two final eight appearances and two final 16 finishes. In 2000, the Lady Tigers finished the season ranked fifth and won the ACC regular season title.

“I am ecstatic we were able to recruit Tatum back to Clemson again,” said Bramble. “I have been following her progress and she has done everything right in the early stages of her coaching career. To be able to add a person to our staff who excelled on the field and in the classroom here at Clemson is a luxury. Combined all that with the love she has for Clemson and it will be easy for her to bring a level of energy and passion to the job that will only enhance our coaching staff.”
