Clemson, S.C.—Clemson is ranked 17th in final fall Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Tigers are third among ACC schools, trailing only No. 4 Georgia Tech and No. 12 Wake Forest. North Carolina is ranked No. 24 and Duke is No. 25.
Clemson finished fourth at the Nike Invitational and sixth at the Trinity Forest Invitational and the Golf Club of Georgia this past fall. The Tigers played one of the most challenging fall schedules in the nation. It is ranked as the fourth best schedule in the nation by Golfweek.
Individually, Clemson has four of the top 150 players in the nation in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. Junior Bryson Nimmer is the highest ranked Clemson player with a No. 16 ranking by Golfweek and Golfstat. Freshman Turk Pettit is 82nd by Golfweek and 89th by Golfstat. Reigning US Amateur Champion Doc Redman is ranked 119th and freshman Kyle Cottam is 148th.
The Tigers will return to action in February at the Puerto Rico Collegiate.
