Byrd Loses in Fourth Round of US Mid-Amateur

Clemson, SC – Clemson assistant golf coach Jordan Byrd was defeated Wednesday by Scott Hardy of Pleasant Hill, CA, 4&3 in the quarterfinals of the United States Mid-Amateur championship. The event for amateurs 25 years or older was held at Bandon Dunes Golf Club in Bandon, Oregon.

Byrd won the first hole, but Hardy came on strong and had a 4-up lead through nine holes. Byrd cut the margin to 3-up by winning the 10th hole, but that was as close as he could get.
