Becca Brown Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

CLEMSON, SC – Junior rower Becca Brown was named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District Three Second Team. The team was named by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Brown was one of thirteen second-team selections from District Three. The team is comprised of female rowers from the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Virginia. It was her first career selection to the academic all-district team.

The junior co-captain has a 3.87 grade-point average in bioengineering. She is a member of the 1st Varsity 8 that finished second and was named ACC Crew-of-the-Year at the ACC Championships in April. Brown was also named academic all-ACC in each of her first two seasons at Clemson (2009,2010).
