Barton, Hinton Named to Academic All-ACC Team for Women’s Track & Field

Greensboro, NC – Clemson women’s track & field placed two student-athletes on the Academic All-ACC team, which was announced Friday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Jenny Barton and Randi Hinton, both Clemson graduates, were named to the inaugural team.

Barton was a third-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American after graduating in May with a degree in Biological Sciences. She was an Academic All-District selection this spring and also an Academic All-ACC selection for cross country. Barton is the school’s record-holder in the 3000m steeplechase.

Hinton earned her degree in Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Management in December of 2005. She was a 2004 NCAA All-American with the 4x400m relay team and also a three-time ACC Champion in the same event.
