Alumni in the Pros: November 16

It was another limited week of action in professional soccer, with Oliver Shannon being the only alumni of Clemson men’s soccer who saw action this past week! Read about Shannon’s performance on the pitch and get ready for this week’s MLS Playoffs!

Oliver Shannon played a full match for Bala Town FC, helping his side to a definitive 4-1 victory over Penybont in Welsh Premier League action. Bala Town now sits in second place overall on the league’s table with 24 points through 11 matches.

MLS Playoffs

The MLS Playoffs are set to begin on Friday, Nov. 20, with six alumni of Clemson’s program ready to play. Amadou Dia and Sporting KC have earned the top seed in the West, while Joe Bendik and the Philadelphia Union have secured the top seed in the East. Inter Miami CF and the New England Revolution will play in Friday’s play-in matches. A full preview of the playoffs can be found here.
