Alumni of the Clemson men’s soccer program contributed to another great week of action across the landscape of professional soccer!
Andrew Tarbell earned the start in goal and earned the shutout as the Columbus Crew defeated the Chicago Fire by a 3-0 result. Tarbell registered three saves, including a spectacular close-range block to keep his clean sheet.

Amadou Dia was a member of Sporting KC’s squad as they squared-off against Minnesota United, with Sporting KC earning a 2-1 victory.
Joe Bendik was named a member of the Philadelphia Union’s roster for the team’s match against the New England Revolution, with the two playing to a 0-0 draw.
Cody Mizell had a spectacular pair of performances throughout the past week, helping his team secure six points in two matches against Real Monarchs SLC. Mizell recorded a total of five saves across the two matches and sported the captain’s armband in the team’s 2-0 shutout victory early in the week.

Kyle Murphy scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in their weekend match against Atlanta United 2. Murphy’s goal came in the 39th minute and came off his first shot of the match.

Jack Metcalf earned the start along the San Diego Loyal backline as they squared off against Reno 1868 FC. Metcalf contributed a full 90 minutes of work, along with four clearances and three interceptions while completing 90 percent of his passes.
Phanuel Kavita wore the captain’s armband for his side’s match against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, with the two sides battling to a 2-2 draw. Kavita logged three tackles, three clearances and four interceptions in the match.
Tanner Dieterich made his second career appearance for the Chattanooga Red Wolves in their weekend match against South Georgia Tormenta FC. Dieterich entered the match in the 59th minute and logged one shot.

Paul Clowes was named a member of Greenville Triumph’s squad for their 1-0 victory over Fort Lauderdale CF.
Diego Campos and Iman Mafi were both starters for FK Jerv in their match against Oygarden. Campos created numerous opportunities for his side on the offensive end, but Jerv ended up falling, 1-0, to Oygarden.
