Clemson Softball To Hold Tryout Aug. 22

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson softball program will hold an open tryout on Thursday, Aug. 22. The tryout will begin at 2:30 p.m. on the turf practice field beyond the outfield fence of Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Participants must bring all equipment needed to try out – bat, glove, helmet, catcher’s gear (if applicable), appropriate softball attire and water. The field is turf, therefore cleats are not necessary, but can be worn. Players are responsible for warming up on their own prior to the 2:30 p.m. start time.

Requirements for tryout participants:

• Must be a full-time enrolled student at Clemson
• Must have a physical examination with completed Clemson Sports Medicine forms
• Must have proof of billable insurance
• Please follow the steps below if you are interested in trying out:

Contact Director of Operations Jeannie Murphy at jeannim@clemson.edu or 318-436-6392 as soon as possible to set up a day and time to turn in the tryout form in Room 259 at the Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center in the WestZone of the Clemson Memorial Stadium.
