CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson diving team has been named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the 10th consecutive semester. Three members of the squad earned individual honors as CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. The announcement was made by the College Swimming Coaches of America on Wednesday.
As a team, the Tigers earned a 3.26 cumulative grade point average for the spring semester of 2017. Head Coach Leslie Hasselbach Adams’ Tigers earned the CSCAA’s team academic accolade for the past 10 semesters, every semester since the program became diving only in 2012-13.
Individually, three members of the team, senior Sarah Braun, junior Allison Brophy and sophomore Caylin Hirapara, were named CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. Braun claimed the honor for the fourth time in her career, while it was the second honor for Hirapara and the first for Brophy. This is the fourth year in a row that Clemson has had at least three divers earn the CSCAA’s individual academic accolade.
