CLEMSON, SC – The ninth-ranked Clemson men’s soccer team will play at N.C. State Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. on the Dail Soccer Field in Raleigh, NC. It will be a battle of unbeaten teams, as Clemson is 4-0 and N.C. State is 3-0 on the year. Both are 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The match can be seen on ESPN3.
So far this season, the Tigers have posted victories over Mercer, South Carolina, Virginia, and Gardner-Webb.Clemson is led in scoring by Thomas McNamara with four goals and two assists for 10 points. He was named National Player-of-the-Week by TopDrawerSoccer.com and was also named Co-ACC Player of the Week. So far this season, he has three game-winning goals.The Tigers’ Ara Amirkhanian has two goals and one assist for five points this season. Manolo Sanchez has one goal and one assist for three points.NC State is led in scoring by Alex Martinez, and Clement Simonin as both players have scored one goal and have one assist each this season.This will be the 55th meeting between Clemson and NC State. The Tigers lead the overall series 33-14-7. Clemson has won the last two meetings by identical 2-1 scores in overtime.
