CLEMSON, SC – The 2010 Clemson Men’s Soccer Schedule has been announced by Head Coach Mike Noonan on Wednesday afternoon.

The 2010 Schedule features 10 schools that participated in the 2009 NCAA Tournament and three of those squads advanced to the College Cup.

“We are excited to embark on our first season at Clemson,” said Noonan. “We have a difficult schedule as we play four of our first five games on the road. “After this stretch we are excited to play the 2009 National Champion Virginia Cavaliers at Clemson. We are excited to be at Clemson and we are anxious to get the season started.”

Clemson plays two exhibition matches in August with the opponents being Alabama-Birmingham at Clemson and USC Upstate at Spartanburg, SC.

The Tigers will open the 2010 season with South Carolina in Columbia, on Friday, September 3. The Tigers will play host to East Tennessee State on Monday, September 6, at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson will play the next three matches on the road. On consecutive Fridays, Clemson will play at Wake Forest on September 10, and at Virginia Tech on September 17, before playing at Furman on September 22 in a midweek match.

The Tigers will play host to defending National Champion Virginia on Saturday September 25, before playing at Charlotte on September 28.

Beginning October 1, Clemson will play host to a four-match stand. St. Louis comes to Tigertown on October 1 and Gardner-Webb will come to Clemson on October 5th. Clemson will play host to Boston College on October 8, and Elon on October 12. After a road trip to Maryland on October 16, Clemson will entertain Georgia Southern, Duke, Wofford, and N.C.
