CLEMSON, SC – The No.9 seed Clemson Women’s Tennis team (10-13, 3-8 ACC) is set to compete against the No.16 seed Syracuse (10-10, 3-10 ACC) on Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at the Cary Tennis Park in the second round of the ACC Tournament. 

The Tigers will be on Bank One for the match-up, which will have a live stream and live stats for all to watch. Prices for tickets vary: all ACC students (with valid I.D.) get in for free, non-ACC College Students (with valid I.D.) are $10, Youth (17 and under) are $10, Adults are $15, and the full championship pass is $30. 

During the regular season, the Tigers triumphed over Syracuse 4-2. The win marked the sixth win in program history against the Orange, with the Tigers leading 6-4. 

Ahead of the ACC Tournament, multiple Tigers were named to the ITA Rankings. The team checks in at No. 36 nationally. Graduate Senior Hatton moved to No. 123 in singles with a record of 7-7. In doubles, Amelie Smejkalova and Gaia Parravicini moved up two spots to No. 37 in the nation. The duo is coming off a 6-4 win over SMU to close their regular season and move to 12-7. They lead the team in doubles wins. Candela Yecora and Romana Cisovska move to No. 63 nationally, 14 spots higher than their April 8 ranking of No. 77. Their doubles record is at 12-8.
