Women’s Volleyball Defeats Maryland, 3-0

CLEMSON, S.C.-The Clemson volleyball team defeated Maryland 3-0 Friday night at Jervey gym. The Tigers took a 15-13, 15-13, 15-10 victory over the Terps. Clemson outhit Maryland in each game, taking a .317 to .227 hitting advantage in Game Three.

Junior Alison Coday led Clemson with 24 kills, six assists on 54 attempts for a .333 attack percentage. Junior Cindy Stern also hit .333, with 13 kills, three errors and 30 attempts. She had five blocks to lead the team. Junior Skye Frost led the team with 12 digs. Sophomore Melissa Kudelka had 42 assists in the winning effort.

Maryland (10-13, 3-9 ACC) was led by Katie Cramer, who hit .364 (10 kills, two errors, 22 total attempts). Beth Murphy had 18 kills for the Terps, and Libby Alberts finished the match with 13 digs.

Clemson (16-6, 7-3 ACC) will play host to Virginia Saturday at 6 p.m. Senior Stephanie Schulz will be honored during the match.
