Women’s Track & Field Concludes Competition at Weems Baskin Relays

Columbia, SC – Clemson’s women’s track & field team concluded competition on Saturday at the Weems Baskin Relays on the South Carolina campus. Two Lady Tigers claimed event titles on the final day of competition.

In the 100m dash, Randi Hinton was second with a time of 11.89, while teammate Thea Dix was fourth after running 2:18.70. Also in that event for the Lady Tigers, freshman Caroline Rash 10th (2:29.45), and Lisa Brown was 17th (2:43.13).

Patrice McMillan claimed the 1500m run after posting a time of 4:50. In the 3000m steeplechase, Jenny Barton won the event after posting a time of 11:15.80. In the 5000m run, Ashley Robinson was right behind in fourth place (18:57.74), while Lauren Marriott placed 13th (20:05.95).

Hardy was fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.15, while Renata Miyamoto (14.25) and Tia Perry (14.67) finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Sierra Hill was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.10. The Lady Tigers were runner-up in the 4x100m relay with a time of 47.19 seconds. Clemson also was runner-up in the 1600 sprint medley, clocking a time of 4:12.87.

Anni Korhonen placed third in the high jump with a mark of 5’3″, while teammate Felicia Hawthorne was fifth overall at 5’1″. Tonya Nwankwo led the Lady Tigers with a fourth-place finish in the long jump after leaping 17’11.5″, while Charmayne Smith (15’6.25″) ninth.

Della Clark placed fourth in the shot put to lead the Lady Tigers in that event. She recorded a mark of 43’10.5″. Allison Bradshaw posted a mark of 40’9.75″ to finish sixth in the field. Krystal Woods was fourth in the discus throw after posting a mark of 148’5″. Catheryne Porter also competed in that event and was ninth after a throw of 130’7″.
