Women’s Track & Field Completes Day One at NCAA East Region Championships

Greensboro, NC – The Clemson women’s track & field team completed day one at the NCAA East Region Championships on Friday from the Irwin Belk Track Facility on the campus of North Carolina A&T. The Lady Tigers competed in three events on Friday and will conclude their 2006 East Region action on Saturday in three events.

Renata Miyamoto competed in the 100m high hurdle prelims on Friday. Hardy was 17th overall with a time of 13.91, while Miyamoto posted a time of 14.34. The Brazil native will also compete Saturday in the triple jump. Sophomore Sierra Hill competed in the 400m hurdle prelims and was 21st overall with a time of 1:02.05.

Krystal Woods competed in the javelin throw for the Lady Tigers and recorded a mark of 110’1″.

The Lady Tigers return to action on Saturday, beginning with the hammer throw at 11:00 AM. Della Clark and Michelle Rogers in the triple jump.
