Women’s Track And Field To Compete At Kentucky Invitational

The Clemson women’s track and field team will travel to Lexington to compete in the Kentucky Invitational this weekend, Jan. 14-15. The Lady Tigers will face competition from 12 other universities, including Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Alabama to name a few. Last year, Silja Ulfarsdottir recorded a provisional qualifying time in the 400m to lead Clemson at this meet.

On Friday, the meet will get underway with the triple jump and weight throw at 6:00 PM. Allison Bradshaw, Della Clark, Mikaela Patterson, Catheryne Porter and Krystal Woods will represent Clemson in the weight throw, while Michelle Rogers competes in the triple jump. In the only running event of the evening, Clemson’s 4x800m relay team will take to the track at 8:00 PM.

The meet resumes on Saturday at 10:30 AM with the high jump, featuring Clemson’s Allison Bradshaw, Della Clark, while Jessica Earp, Michelle Rogers contest the long jump.

Saturday’s running events begin with the 60m hurdles semifinals at 12:30, in which Jessica Earp, Polly Hardy, Silja Ulfarsdottir are scheduled to compete. Following the hurdles semifinals, Silja Ulfarsdottir and Danielle Whaley. In the final individual running event of the night, the 3000m at 4:15 PM, Jennifer Barton will compete for Clemson. The Lady Tigers’ 4x400m relay teams will compete in the final event of the night at 4:50 PM.
