Women’s Swimming In 30th After Day Two Of NCAA Championships

AUSTIN, TX – The Clemson women’s swimming team is in 30th place after day two of the 2002 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The Tigers’ 200 medley relay as well as two individuals competed on Friday.

Clemson’s 200 medley relay team of Lindsey Kroeger, Mandy Commons, Elise Thieler and Jenna Burtch competed in Friday morning’s preliminaries but were disqualified.

Thieler competed in the 100 fly, recording a preliminary time of 56.10 to finish 48th. In the 100 breast, Commons posted a time of 1:03.17 to finish 29th in the preliminary round.

Clemson will continue its NCAA competition on Saturday with Burtch and Christine Woodruff competing in the 100 free, Commons in the 200 breast and Woodruff, Burtch, Thieler and Hider competing in the 400 free relay.
