Women’s Cross Country Finishes Fourth at ACC Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Clemson women’s cross country team placed fourth with 99 points at the ACC Championships, held Monday in Charlottesville. N.C. State won the meet with 32 points, followed by North Carolina in second place with 65 points. Wake Forest finished third (75 points).

Junior Beth Ahern led the Tigers, placing seventh with a time of 17:47.1 in the 5K race. Junior Julianne Littman finished the race in 17:56.0 to take 10th place. Both Tigers earned all-ACC honors.

Senior Brantley Epps placed 16th with a time of 18:08.8, and junior Erika Van Reenan took 28th place with a time of 18:34.3. Junior Anne Stowell was 39th, finishing the course in 18:50.7, while junior Shannon Schoppman took 44th place with a time of 19:05.3.

Freshman Abbey Hartman placed 60th (19:56.4), and Jennifer Meador placed 72nd (22:02.8) for Clemson.

The Tigers will compete at the District III Championships November 14 at Furman University.
